Vegan bolognese pasta

Easy to make, gluten-free and vegan sauce which is the perfect replacement for the original bolognese. A great idea to try and experience something new.

  • 50g uncooked gluten-free pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 200g cooked red lentils
  • 1/2 small onion , chopped small
  • 50g shredded carrots
  • 3/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 100g red bell pepper, chopped
  • 150ml tomato sauce
  • 100ml water


  1. Cook the pasta according to instructions on the package.

  2. Wash the lentils, drain and add on to a side. 

  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add onion, olive oil, red bell pepper, seasoning, garlic, shredded carrot and a good pinch of salt. Cook for 10 minutes or until golden. Stir occasionally and add water if needed.

  4.  Add in the tomato sauce, lentils and water and let it all simmer until you reach the desired texture. 

  5. Serve the sauce with your pasta and enjoy your lunch.
