Easy to make, gluten-free and vegan sauce which is the perfect replacement for the original bolognese. A great idea to try and experience something new.
Cook the pasta according to instructions on the package.
Wash the lentils, drain and add on to a side.
Heat a skillet over medium heat, add onion, olive oil, red bell pepper, seasoning, garlic, shredded carrot and a good pinch of salt. Cook for 10 minutes or until golden. Stir occasionally and add water if needed.
Add in the tomato sauce, lentils and water and let it all simmer until you reach the desired texture.
Serve the sauce with your pasta and enjoy your lunch.
