Gut-nourishing coconut pizza

An amazing for food combining, gut health and also INCREDIBLY flavourful pizza recipe you will love with your heart.

Servings 1 pizza


Pizza base

  • 1 egg or 2 tbsp of psyllium husk with 3 tbsp of water if vegan
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 20g grated violife cheese
  • 100 ml almond milk (egg whites if high protein)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 50g coconut flour
  • 40g almond flour


  • cherry tomatoes
  • 3 slices of violife cheese
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce (ketchup is optional)
  • oregano, salt
  • mushrooms


  1. Heat up the oven to 190°C.

  2. Combine the egg with coconut oil,baking powder, milk, salt and cheese. Once you got a nice and thick paste add in the flours and mix.

  3. Place a parchment papeer on a round baking tray and place the pizza base mixture on top. Bake for 10-15 minutes.

  4. After the first baking round is done, take the pizza out and add your favorite toppings. After it place the pizza inside the oven to bake for additional 10 minutes.

  5. In the end as an AMAZING addition add some better cheddar cheese as a treat 🙂

Recipe Notes

If you are following food combining, I would recommend you making the vegan pizza option with psyllium husk, Violife cheese which made out of coconut (neutral) and tomato sauce, not ketchup.


If you are looking for a high protein pizza potion, just replace the milk with egg whites.
